Terms and conditions

Certificate in Applied Video for Golf Coaching and the Video in Practice eBook

Version 1.1 路 2 November 2026

1. Who we are and how to contact us

These terms apply to purchases from The Coach Alliance Ltd, trading as Coach Hub ("we", "us"). Business address: Titanium 1, Kings Inch Place, Renfrew, PA4 8WF, United Kingdom. Email for bookings, cancellations and complaints: [email protected]. Registered in Scotland, company number SC787544. We are not registered for VAT. Hugh Marr owns the copyright in the Coach Hub learning materials; this does not identify the contracting seller.

2. Your booking

A contract is formed when we send written confirmation accepting your order. Before payment, we provide the total price, applicable taxes, payment schedule, programme dates and time zone, included resources, access periods, assessment deadlines and technical requirements. These details and these terms form your agreement. Keep the confirmation for your records.

We will not add compulsory fees or change agreed terms retrospectively. Any optional extra or further reassessment charge must be disclosed and agreed before purchase. Where instalments apply, cancelling does not automatically require payment of every remaining instalment; the cancellation calculation in these terms applies.

3. What you are purchasing

The Certificate in Applied Video for Golf Coaching includes four one-hour live webinars and the resources, assessment and feedback specified in your booking. It assesses applied video skills, rather than your general coaching expertise. Equipment, software subscriptions and other purchases are included only if expressly stated.

The Video in Practice eBook is an independent study resource. It includes the content and linked demonstrations described at purchase. It does not include webinars, individual feedback, assessment or certification. Videos open online and require internet access. Access duration and compatibility requirements will be disclosed before payment.

These terms preserve all rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumer rights apply where you purchase wholly or mainly outside your trade or profession. The voluntary cancellation and resubmission provisions below also apply to business purchasers unless a separate agreement expressly states otherwise.

Participation and assessment

4. Attendance and access

Check the advertised dates and technical requirements before booking. Tell us promptly about access problems or adjustments you need. We will consider reasonable adjustments without changing the competence required to pass. Catch-up arrangements, any webinar recording access and attendance requirements will be stated before booking; recordings are not promised unless expressly included.

Missing a session which runs as agreed does not automatically entitle you to a refund or private replacement session. This does not affect your right to withdraw under these terms or your rights if we fail to deliver. Please contact us if illness or exceptional circumstances affect participation.

5. Assessment and award

The theory pass mark is 80% (40 out of 50 on the current paper). You must also pass the practical assessment separately. Attendance or purchase alone does not earn a certificate. We provide the assessment brief, practical criteria, permitted resources, submission deadlines and completion requirements before booking. We will not introduce new pass requirements retrospectively.

Submit your own work and follow the stated rules on assistance. Use only player footage you are entitled to share. Assessment decisions are confirmed by an authorised human assessor. A result of "Not yet passed" identifies the criteria still to be met. There is no refund solely because you do not pass, without limiting rights where the service was not provided as agreed.

6. Included resubmission

The programme fee includes written feedback and one further attempt for each assessment component not passed on the first attempt. For practical work, resubmit only the unmet criteria; new recordings are required where recording quality or technique is the issue. A theory resit uses an equivalent replacement paper, with the same 80% pass mark.

Resubmit within 30 calendar days of receiving feedback, unless an extension is agreed. A passed component remains valid during that period and any agreed extension. If circumstances prevent completion, contact us before the deadline where possible. We will consider reasonable requests individually.

After a second unsuccessful attempt, we provide a development plan. Any further attempt requires an agreed practice period, assessment arrangements and advance disclosure of any fee. No additional attempt is charged automatically. Certificates do not distinguish an initial pass from a resubmission pass.

7. Review of a decision

If you believe marking was incorrect or the process unfair, email the reasons and relevant evidence promptly. A review does not use up your resubmission entitlement. We will explain the decision and pause the relevant resubmission deadline while the review is pending. Where practicable, a person not responsible for the original decision will review it.

Programme cancellation and withdrawal

The more favourable statutory rights in the next part (sections 13 to 15) take priority. This part describes our additional booking policy and withdrawals outside those statutory rights.

8. Before the programme starts

If you cancel at least 14 calendar days before the first webinar, we refund the full programme fee. If you cancel fewer than 14 days before the first webinar, you may request one free transfer to an available future cohort or cancel for a refund less reasonable, evidenced losses directly caused by the cancellation. A transfer is optional and is confirmed in writing; if no suitable place is available, the cancellation calculation applies.

9. Withdrawal after attending webinars

You may withdraw after the programme starts. We charge fairly for webinars and individual support already delivered, using the component values disclosed before booking. We refund the balance less any reasonable, unavoidable loss directly caused by your withdrawal. We do not automatically keep the whole fee because you attended a webinar or received materials.

The calculation accounts for costs saved, assessment or feedback work no longer required, and any income from filling your place. We take reasonable steps to reduce losses and do not charge twice for the same loss. We provide a written breakdown. No retrospective or inflated component prices will be used, and the total retained or payable will not exceed the agreed price.

For example, withdrawal after webinar two will take account of the two delivered webinars, any support already supplied, the cost of assessment work avoided and any other evidenced direct loss. The result depends on the fee allocation and actual circumstances, rather than an automatic 50% or 100% charge.

10. Illness and exceptional circumstances

Where illness or exceptional circumstances prevent completion, we will consider one free transfer to a suitable future cohort, subject to availability. We confirm which completed work carries forward and the revised deadlines. You may choose cancellation instead; applicable refund rights remain available.

11. Cancellation or changes by Coach Hub

If we cancel the whole programme before it starts, you may choose a full refund or a transfer. If we cancel after it starts, we refund undelivered services; any greater entitlement under law remains unaffected. If we materially change dates or delivery, you may accept the change or cancel the affected undelivered part for a refund. Where the change defeats the purpose of the booking, we will consider the whole booking and your applicable rights.

12. How to cancel and receive a refund

Email [email protected], or send any other clear cancellation statement to our business address. The cancellation form at the end of these terms is optional. We aim to acknowledge within two working days. Refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, with no refund fee. A request for a breakdown or our internal approval does not delay a statutory refund deadline.

Cooling off rights and digital content

13. Consumer service bookings made online

For a qualifying online consumer service contract, you may cancel without giving a reason until 14 days after the day the contract is entered into. Send your cancellation statement before the period expires. This is measured from the contract date, not the date of the first webinar. A longer statutory period may apply if required cancellation information was not provided.

If you expressly request teaching or other services to begin during that period, and we have provided the required information, cancellation may require payment only for the proportion of services supplied up to your cancellation, based on the agreed total price or market value where required. No additional cancellation-loss charge applies to this statutory cancellation. Where the required request or information is missing, we will not charge for early supply contrary to law.

Starting a webinar does not itself remove your right to cancel. For services, that right is lost on full performance only where the required prior request and acknowledgement have been obtained. Early access to the manual does not waive cancellation rights for the entire programme.

14. eBook and other digital content

For qualifying consumer digital-content purchases, the cancellation period is normally 14 days after the day the contract is entered into. If you want access during that period, we obtain your express consent to supply starting and your acknowledgement that the cancellation right is lost once supply begins. We confirm the consent and acknowledgement in a form you can save.

Where those requirements have been met and supply has begun, we do not normally offer change-of-mind refunds for the digital content. If they have not been met, we will honour applicable cancellation rights. If you do not consent to early supply, access begins after the cancellation period. Separate early-service and digital-content choices are used where both are relevant.

Where programme materials form part of a bundle, the booking must make clear any separately priced digital element and the rights applying to it. We will not impose a separate eBook charge retrospectively or use digital access to avoid a programme refund.

15. Problems with the product or service

A change-of-mind policy does not remove rights where services are not performed with reasonable care and skill or digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails applicable legal requirements. Contact us with the problem. We will provide the remedy required by law, which may include correction, repeat performance, a price reduction or refund as appropriate.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. No restriction in this document overrides mandatory consumer protection.

Materials communication and complaints

16. Ownership and permitted use

Copyright in the Coach Hub original manuals, eBook, demonstrations and assessment materials belongs to Hugh Marr. Third-party content remains subject to its owners' rights. Your purchase grants a single-user licence for your own learning and coaching practice, subject to applicable law.

You may apply the methods in your coaching and create your own recordings, annotations and explanations for players. You may keep a personal backup and print a copy for your own use. Do not redistribute the eBook, manual, teaching videos, assessment papers, answer keys or access credentials; upload them to shared libraries; resell them; or reproduce them for another education programme without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Certification does not authorise you to teach or license the Coach Hub programme or issue Coach Hub certificates. Copyright notices do not prevent acts permitted by law or claim ownership over ideas merely because they are discussed in the materials.

If a digital purchase is fully refunded on cancellation, stop using that refunded resource and delete your copies, subject to any legal entitlement to retain them. For programme withdrawal, we confirm in writing which resource access remains, consistent with the refund calculation and the rights you purchased.

17. Player footage and privacy

Before submitting footage, obtain the necessary permission from the player and any other rights holder. Remove unnecessary names and personal information. For children, ensure appropriate parent or guardian permission and safeguarding arrangements. Do not share other participants' footage, contributions or contact details outside the programme without permission.

We use submitted work for programme delivery, feedback and assessment in accordance with the privacy notice supplied before booking. Promotional use requires separate permission; buying or attending is not consent to publicity. Any webinar recording and its audience will be explained in advance. Retention periods and any assessment technology providers are set out in the privacy notice.

18. Communication and conduct

Support channels, availability and response expectations are stated in your booking. Treat tutors and other participants respectfully. Where misuse or serious disruption occurs, we will explain the concern and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it where appropriate. Any restriction of access will be proportionate; it does not automatically forfeit the whole fee or remove refund rights.

19. Complaints and applicable rights

Send complaints to [email protected] with your booking reference and the outcome you seek. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and provide a substantive response within 14 calendar days, or explain any delay and give an update date. Complaints do not remove access to legal remedies or any applicable dispute-resolution route.

Scots law governs these terms and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. Consumers keep the mandatory protections and local courts of the country where they live. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue so far as legally permitted.

Cancellation form

Use this form only if you wish to cancel. You may instead send any clear statement of cancellation. You do not need to give a reason or use this form to exercise a statutory right.

We acknowledge the cancellation and explain the refund calculation, including any lawful deduction. Statutory cancellation is effective when the required notice is given; it does not depend on us accepting your reasons. You may keep a copy and evidence of sending it.

If you prefer to request a transfer, contact us separately. A transfer request does not cancel the booking unless your message also clearly says that you wish to cancel.
